Debra Rubino

Vice President of Strategic Communications

I’m the lucky person who serves as the vice president of strategic communications here at MICA.  I’ve been here for over two years, but I’m no stranger. I served as MICA’s director of institutional communications when I first moved Baltimore, stayed for 10 years and during that time, received my M.F.A. in Photography in 1992. I left for a large chunk of time — first to become v.p. for strategic communications at Goucher and then as director of strategic communications at the Open Society Institute-Baltimore, a field office of the international network of the Open Society Foundations. There’s a lot more to my bio, but what’s important here is that I’m proud to again be connected deeply to this exceptional community and be immersed in creative efforts all day, every day. (Yes, on those weekends, too…)
