I started at MICA in 2006 as a writer. I’ve had six or seven jobs titles since. I do a lot of things now — none of which is writing. I plan the print projects, maintain schedules, and hire designers, printers and illustrators. I do some light editing on the side.
Before MICA, I was in Boston getting an M.A. in journalism. That’s the only time I’ve ever lived outside of Maryland. My girlfriend thinks I should travel more. I think “the greatest city in America” is an accurate description.
When I’m not at MICA you’ll likely find me hanging out with my girlfriend and daughter, making something out of wood, or looking for a quiet place to read.
